My First Blog Post :)

Hello MTV, welcome to my crib!

My name is Vidhi. I'm 21 years old. I'm studying Computer Science and Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

That’s me!

I love making trade-offs. There's something deeply satisfying about weighing different options and finding the best balance, whether it's optimizing space and runtime in CS or considering opportunity costs in economics. It's a bit like a game, really! My love for technology is matched only by my desire to make a positive impact on the world. I'm passionate about using mission-driven software engineering and human-driven data analysis to solve real-world problems, and I'm constantly looking for ways to do that.

Presenting our app ‘Mutuals’ to the CS department!

I'm a writer for the Emory Economics Review, where I focus on issues that are close to my heart, especially those surrounding South Asian communities.

I'm an avid reader (yes, I actually read for fun!). You can check out my literary exploits on my Instagram book account, @vidhisbraindump. If you've got a book that has blown your mind or if you just want to geek out over your latest read, slide into my DMs!

I also love tennis, boxing, and painting! I love the thrill of a good match, the rush of a hard-hitting workout (pun intended), and the calm focus that comes with creating art. I'm also an urban explorer and a food enthusiast (new food discoveries are always a win!). I enjoy losing myself on hiking trails and exploring whichever city I'm in. My tastes lean towards the simple pleasures—a good book, a plate of pesto pasta, sunbathing on the beach, and peanut M&Ms.

As for dislikes, I have a humble few. Slow walkers, clutter, and soda. I have a preference for everything in its place, a brisk pace, and drinks that are simply chilled—not ice-cold.

So, here we are. We'll share stories, learn together, and hopefully inspire each other along the way. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll stick around.
